Manchester United midfielder Casemiro at the front

Manchester United midfielder Casemiro is reportedly on the verge of joining Major League Soccer side Inter Miami after reaching an agreement over a summer transfer.

The Brazilian, who arrived at Old Trafford from Real Madrid in 2022, is expected to bring his stint with the Premier League club to an end as he prepares for a new challenge in the United States.

Before moving to England, Casemiro enjoyed a glittering spell at Real Madrid, where he captured three La Liga titles and lifted the UEFA Champions League trophy on five occasions. His time at Manchester United yielded domestic success, with victories in the League Cup and the FA Cup.

Although his trophy haul in England fell short of his achievements in Spain, the experienced midfielder remained an influential figure in United's squad. Alongside captain Bruno Fernandes, he played a key role in helping the club secure UEFA Champions League qualification and finish the season strongly.

The 34-year-old appeared to bid an emotional farewell to Manchester United supporters after the club's 3-2 victory over Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford, fuelling speculation that his departure is imminent.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Inter Miami have reached an agreement to sign the midfielder.

“EXCLUSIVE: Inter Miami complete deal to sign Casemiro as new midfielder, here we go!

“Verbal agreement sealed with all parties involved and all formal steps resolved, now waiting to sign and announce the Brazilian.

“Casemiro wants to play with Messi. Future in MLS.”

Casemiro also featured prominently for Brazil during the international break, playing the full match as his country defeated Haiti to earn its first victory after an opening draw against Morocco.

Further details regarding the transfer, including official confirmation and contract terms, are expected to emerge in the coming weeks as the veteran midfielder prepares to continue his career in Major League Soccer with Inter Miami.
