Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has warned manager Mikel Arteta against becoming obsessed with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.

Arteta admits he's been leaning on AI this season, though refused to go into specifics.

In response, Arsenal legend Wenger said: “It can help to make better decisions. AI has a fantastic quality, it can absorb millions of different situations and give you an answer in one second or a fraction of a second.

“AI can say something and the personality of a coach can say that’s wrong. As long as the human being keeps control, authority and power to make the decision you can use any scientific tool.

"But what is happening and what is dangerous is if the science dominates the decisions.”

The Gunners remain top of the Premier League this international break, despite drawing at Sunderland on the weekend.

Do you agree with Wenger on the use of AI?
