Kiraa Academy turns branded football sales into grassroots development drive

The Ososa-based academy is rallying football enthusiasts, schools and coaches to support its ambition of building natural-grass pitches and creating opportunities for young players.

KIRAA Football Academy in Ososa, Ijebu, Ogun State, is seeking to turn the passion for football into practical support for grassroots sports development with the launch of its own branded footballs.

The initiative offers football enthusiasts an opportunity to contribute to the academy’s long-term vision of improving local football infrastructure and creating a pathway for aspiring players to develop their talents.

Owned by Oluwaseun Currie Franklin, the academy is inviting coaches, schools, football academies and individual supporters to purchase its branded footballs as part of efforts to sustain its grassroots development ambitions.

Under the campaign slogan, “Buy a Kiraa Ball, Build Our Dream!”, the academy said proceeds from sales would support its plans to develop natural-grass football pitches in Ososa, providing better facilities for young players to train, improve their skills and pursue their football ambitions.

Beyond selling football equipment, the project is intended to build a connection between supporters of the game and the development of football at the community level. The academy sees each purchase as a contribution towards creating the facilities needed to nurture emerging talents.

The initiative also reflects an approach to grassroots sports development that encourages community participation and seeks support beyond conventional funding channels. By inviting football stakeholders and enthusiasts to invest in its vision through product purchases, KIRAA hopes to broaden the network of people supporting its mission.

The academy is extending its appeal to football coaches, educational institutions, other academies and individuals who believe in the potential of young Nigerian players to make a difference through their support.

With the identity “KIRAA FA — BORN LOCAL. PLAY GLOBAL,” the academy is positioning its work around the development of homegrown talent and the ambition of helping young footballers progress to higher levels of the game.

The launch of the branded footballs represents another step in its effort to establish a grassroots football development hub in Ososa while attracting interest from supporters within Nigeria and abroad.

Interested buyers can make enquiries and place orders by contacting the academy through its social media direct message channels.

For KIRAA Football Academy, the broader ambition goes beyond putting its name on a football. It is about mobilising football lovers to support the facilities, opportunities and community-based development efforts that can help young players take their first steps towards a future in the sport.
