SBI Media, a leading advertising and marketing communications agency, has once again demonstrated its capacity to deliver high-impact, purpose-driven projects with the successful execution of TECNO’s youth and community development CSR initiative, the construction and launch of two world-class football pitches in Lagos State.
The CSR initiative, which cost into hundreds of millions of naira, culminated in the unveiling of the Sanwo-Olu Mini Stadium at Sura, Lagos Island on December 23, and the Alade Pitch located on Alade Stadium Road, Alimosho, Lagos on December 24. Both facilities were designed to serve as safe, accessible, and professionally built sporting hubs for young people within their communities, fostering grassroots talent development and social inclusion.
SBI Media played a central role in bringing the initiative to life, managing the project end-to-end. From strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, infrastructure development, project supervision, to launch execution and media coordination, the agency was responsible for translating TECNO’s CSR vision into a tangible and lasting community asset.
The launch ceremonies attracted key government officials and sports stakeholders, underscoring the importance of the initiative to Lagos State’s youth and sports ecosystem. In attendance were the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Social Development, Mr. Mobolaji Ogunlende; Director General of the Lagos State Sports Commission, Mr. Lekan Fatodu; Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports, Hon. Adeboye Anthony Adeyinka; Lagos Football Association Chairman, Alhaji Liameed Gafaar; Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Mr. Damilare Orimoloye; and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports Marketing and Administration, Mr. Onaopepo Adu.
Speaking on SBI Media’s involvement, Rotimi Bankole, Managing Director of SBI Media, highlighted the agency’s commitment to purpose-led work: “This project goes beyond advertising or brand visibility. It is about creating infrastructure that empowers young people, strengthens communities, and leaves a legacy.
