Monaco coach Sébastien Pocognoli has confirmed that Paul Pogba has suffered a fresh injury setback ahead of their Ligue 1 clash with Paris FC on Saturday (November 1).

Pocognoli said on Wednesday night that the 32-year-old could be included in the matchday squad for their game against the newly promoted side.

He has since confirmed that Pogba will have to wait even longer to make his Monaco debut and is now unlikely to feature before the November international break after picking up an ankle injury in training.

“We are awaiting confirmation of the severity of the injury,” said Pocognoli.

“The idea is that he can be available after the international break (for the game against Stade Rennais on 22nd November). That is the plan that we are following. We are all disappointed.”
