Manchester United is reportedly considering alternative targets, Eberechi Eze and Antoine Semenyo, as their pursuit of Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo hits a roadblock.
The Red Devils face stiff competition from Tottenham Hotspur, who have emerged as frontrunners for the 25-year-old forward. Brentford turned down United's £55 million bid, with Spurs subsequently offering £70 million, reportedly with manager Thomas Frank eager to reunite with the Cameroonian star in North London.
According to ESPN, United sees Eze, 26, and Semenyo, 25, as potential reinforcements should their efforts to sign Mbeumo fall through. However, the report suggests that acquiring either player could require a transfer fee comparable to Brentford's valuation of Mbeumo.
