Gunners have bid farewell to Emile Smith Rowe |
Arsenal's manager, Mikel Arteta, and sporting director, Edu, have provided insights into the recent departure of a cherished team member. The Gunners have bid farewell to Emile Smith Rowe, a homegrown talent and fan favourite, who has joined fellow London club Fulham on a permanent transfer.
"Emile’s dedication,
attitude, and energy were outstanding every day, always stepping up when the
team needed him," Arteta stated, as reported on Arsenal's official
website. "He joined the first team during a challenging period and made a
significant impact, with his strong performances making our supporters proud.
Although I am sad to see Emile leave, I am excited for him to seize this new
opportunity at a point in his career where he needs to be playing regularly.
Emile is adored by everyone at the club, and he departs with our deepest
gratitude, utmost respect, and best wishes. We all hope for the best for Emile
and his family at Fulham.”
Edu echoed these sentiments,
adding: “Emile is loved by everyone at the club. He has been with us for many
years, and we are incredibly proud of his development through our Academy
system into the first team. It has been a collaborative effort to find the
right place for Emile, where he will continue to grow and make his mark in the
Premier League. We have completed an important and beneficial deal for all
parties involved. We thank Emile for everything he has contributed to Arsenal
and wish him success in the next chapter of his career.”
