Life Lager encourages the Super Eagles to extract positive lessons from their initial AFCON match, which concluded in a draw against Equatorial Guinea. As the official beer partner of the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), Life Lager Beer emphasizes the importance of learning from the performance and motivates the Eagles to strive for victory in their upcoming encounter against the Ivorians.

Senior Brand Manager of Life Lager Beer, Chima Dim, shared insights on the Eagles' display, stating, “The next match offers an opportunity to showcase the resilient spirit inherent in Nigerians. Life Lager embodies progress and resilience, values deeply embedded in the Super Eagles' DNA and their fans. We are optimistic that our aspirations will be met.”

In the absence of Kelechi Ihenacho during the opening game, the Eagles fell behind after 36 minutes when Iván Salvador scored for Equatorial Guinea. However, the Nigerian side swiftly equalized, with in-form striker and African footballer of the year, Victor Osihmen, finding the net just two minutes later.

Despite multiple opportunities in the second half, including chances by Osihmen and Ola Aina, and noteworthy performances by Ademola Lookman, the Eagles couldn't secure a lead, with the opposition goalkeeper making crucial saves. The team now looks ahead to their next match at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Abidjan, scheduled for Thursday, January 18, at 6 pm, facing the Elephants of Cote D’Ivoire, who currently lead Group A after a 2-0 victory.
